Volleyball up for grabs going into grand final It was another great night of action-packed volleyball at Northland College gym last week. Some unexpected results have really thrown a spanner in the works as no team, with the excep- tion of The Bros, is safe. Former top of the table team Trust Us suffered two losses to slip to sec- ond place hanging on only by points differen- tial. The unpredictable Wanna Gs then went on to upset them in a close game 50 to 45. Taiamai Soldiers not- ched up their first win over cellar dwellers Make up your mind 56-35. They very nearly went on to upset the Wanderers in a game that came down to the last point well into over- time, but weren't able to pick up the last point and lost 44-45. The Bros stormed to the top of the table picking up a bonus point win over Kap's Crew. The competition is quickly approaching fin- als and teams shouldn't give up their focus as the top six have a chance at the TKEMKT Cup, spon- sored by Te Kotahitanga E Mahi Kaha Trust. Grand finals will be held this Friday from 6pm onwards at the Northland College Gym. Spectators are welcome free of charge to watch live full court action.
