Owner Qiu Fu Qiang and his team at Oriental City Takeaways in Kaikohe know their food. They have been in the food industry as chefs and owners for more than nine years and enjoy pumping'' out good quality food for the people in the Far North. Qiu, Xian, and Terrence are happy and excited about their new smogasbord selec- tion of popular Chinese food. Qiu says: It's important for us to change the menus that we have been serving for many years. Just like stale bread, our current selection of Chinese and European food needed to change.'' Oriental City Takeaways is one of three Chinese takeaways in the Kaikohe township so the owners understand the need to dis- tinguish their offerings from their competitors. We know what our compe- tition have to offer which is why we are offering customers a larger and more exciting selection of food. Also, an integral part of being successful is having high quality and fresh food at affordable prices, and high hygiene standards.'' Qiu and his team live locally and over the years customers have let him know what they like and dislike. This is good for us to know so we can improve our service to satisfy them.'' Behind the counter they are proud of their work, and cooking is a passion that they all have in common. They are always happy to see their regular customers coming back for more, but are also noticing the newer' faces that appear. By trying out our new smorgasbord menu and adding our new Chinese dim sum, we want to let the people know that we are try- ing to cater for their needs even more,'' Qiu says. We also want to entice new customers to come on in and experience our quality food for themselves.'' And it's not just Chinese. Oriental City Takeaways also offer all types of burgers, toasties, the standard favour- ite fish and chips, and much, much more to satisfy everyone's taste buds. Telephone orders can be made at (09) 401-1408. For customers wishing to dine-in or take away, Orien- tal City Takeaways is open seven days from 11am to late. Finally, they say: Come on in and see what we have to offer. If there is something we don't have, then please ask and we might be able to assist you. Our job in the takeaway is to make sure you are happy with everything, and more importantly that you return again, and again, and again. We would like to think that you would recommend us to your whanau, family, friends and anyone else.
