You agree to indemnify us against all losses or costs arising directly or indirectly from any breach of the warranties above and from any costs incurred in making corrections or amendments in accordance with the terms that follow. 3.By supplying or placing an advertisement for publication you grant us a perpetual, royalty free license to reproduce the advertisement in any print or electronic advertising media we offer advertisers now or in the future. 4. Where the advertiser uses our creative services in the design or production of an advertisement (including photographic or design work) you acknowledge we own the copyright in such work and that such work is not work for which a commissioning payment has been agreed. 5.We may amend advertisements for style or other genuine reasons using reasonable care, refuse to publish without reason, and may publish on the next available day if there is an error or delay in publication of the ad as booked. 6.We may take orders for specific spaces (space orders). The space may only be used by you for advertising your usual business and may not be transferred by you to another person. 7. The guarantees contained in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 are excluded where you acquire goods or services from us for the purpose of a business. 8. You must tell us as soon as possible if there is an error or omission in any advertisment. We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, (which includes loss of revenue or profit) from any error, or omission or failure to publish. If we are found to have any direct liability, it is limited to the cost of the space of the advertisement. 9. All DVDs, blu-ray disks and videos, and any other restricted publications advertised for sale must include its Classification as determined by the NZ Classification Office and may be advertised only in accordance with the conditions imposed by the Classification Office. We may require written evidence of New Zealand Classification ratings and Classification Office conditions for each DVD, video or any publication. 10. To cancel an advertisement a cancellation number must be obtained from us at least three days prior to publication. Cancellations, which occur inside of the three-day working period, may incur a 100% penalty. 11. Advertisements are charged in accord with the published rate card at the time of publishing, unless otherwise agreed in writing by us. Rate card adjustments apply to space orders for ads appearing up to 28 days after an adjustment. Space order rates are not reduced if the space is not used. To cancel an ad a cancellation number must be obtained. 12. GST will be added to all advertising except for non-NZ based clients. Payment is due seven days after the invoice date unless otherwise authorised. In the event of late payment the advertiser will be liable for market rate interest and all collection costs. 13. All casual advertising must be prepaid prior to publication.Payment by credit card for casual advertising is accepted. 14. We may provide guidelines to be followed where you include internet addresses in advertising. NORTHERN NEWS, FEBRUARY 11, 2015 about town Two Far North fishing events have kept youngsters busy this month. The Whangaroa Sports Fishing Club held its juniors weekend on January3 and4along with a new fishing contest for junior anglers, the Juniors Open on January 17. The open event was for both non-members and members of the club. Local charter boat skipper Terry Lay gave up his time and his boat Christina to take several parties of young keen anglers and their parents for a harbour fish. There was also great weather for the Juniors Weekend which attracted seven boats and 15 anglers. All the junior anglers did really well and everyone ended up taking something home from prizegiving or lucky draws. Public Notices PUBLIC NOTICES FAR NORTH DISTRICT PLAN Proposed Plan Change 19 – Signs and Lighting Description of the Plan Change: Plan Change 19 proposes changes to the Signs and Lighting provisions in the District Plan. The proposed changes are aimed at promoting the health and safety and wellbeing of the district by improving the clarity and workability of relevant district plan provisions, the management of cumulative effects and the integrated management of sign and lighting activities. Delayed Legal Effect: Pursuant to Section 86B of the Resource Management Act 1991, Far North District Council has resolved that all the rules in Plan Change 19 shall have legal effect only once the proposed plan change becomes operative in accordance with Clause 20 of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991. Public Inspection: Proposed Plan Change 19 can be inspected from Wednesday 11 February 2015 onwards at any Council office or Library. Submissions: Any person may make a submission on Proposed Plan Change 19 Signs and Lighting. Submissions can be made in writing or electronically and the submission form can either be obtained through the Council website at www.fndc.govt.nz or from any Council office or Library. Online submissions can be made at www.fndc.govt.nz/districtplansubmissions. Please use the submission form provided or a similar format that complies with the Resource Management Regulations, Form 5. Submissions can be posted to the Far North District Council at Private Bag 752, KAIKOHE; faxed to 09 401 5308; or delivered to any Far North District Council office, and must be received by 5.00pm, Thursday 12 March 2015. Public Participation: After the closing date for submissions, the Far North District Council must prepare a summary of the submissions and this summary must be publicly notified. This will be followed by an opportunity to make a further submission in support of, or in opposition to, a submission already made. All submitters who indicated that they wish to be heard will be advised of the dates, times and place of hearings. At the end of the hearings Council must give its decision on Proposed Plan Change 19 (including its reasons for accepting or rejecting submissions). Any person who has made a submission has the right to appeal the Council’s decision to the Environment Court.
